Paula Westerman Lupton

Paula Westerman Lupton, 74, of New Bern, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on October 21, 1950, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Paul and Shirley Westerman.

Paula loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She was a very active member of Solid Rock Global Methodist Church. On September 7, 1968, Paula married the love of her life, Brad Lupton. Together they created a beautiful family and many wonderful memories, which included living overseas twice, once in Sicily and once in Jordan.

Leaving behind to honor and cherish Paula's memory are her husband of 56 years, Bernard "Brad" Lupton, Sr; son, Robert Paul Lupton (Leah Harris-Lupton); daughter, Michelle Wright (Chad Wright); grandchildren, Ariel Rangel (Junior), Michael Lupton (Alyssa), Kayla Lupton Chamberlain, Darien Woulard, Avianna Lupton, Vivian Lupton, Lillian Lupton, Ayden Lupton, Madison Wright, and Carson Wright; three great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Westerman; sisters, Jeannie Gaylor, Lois Whitfield, Emily Massengill, and Cathy Williams; and many loving family members and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Bernard "Bradley" Lupton, Jr.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Cotten Funeral Home. A celebration of Paula's life will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bryan Huffman and her grandson, Carson Wright, officiating the service. Following the service, Paula will be laid to rest beside her son, Bradley Jr., at Greenleaf Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Paula's memory to Crystal Coast Hospice in Newport, NC, or your church's mission's program.
