Born December 8, 1960 in Muncie, Ind., he is the son of Betty R. Tracy and the later James A. Weldon of New Bern. In addition to his dad, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Fred Tracy and his grandmother, Bessie Riddleberger.
Mike is survived by his daughter Christina Wethington and husband Terry; his son, Jason Weldon and wife Hillary; three grandchildren, Alex, Jeremiah and Jason, Jr., three sisters, Linda Mathews and husband Russell of Suffolk, VA; Tina Allen and husband Gary; Sherry Jackson, all of New Bern; one brother, David Weldon and wife Cheryl of Newton, NC; and several nieces, nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 25, 2011 at Cotten Chapel with Rev. Craig Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 prior to the service at Cotten Funeral Home.
