She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and she previously worked as a tour guide at the Attmore Oliver House. Mary gave generously to many different funds. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hoover A. Smith and her parents, Thomas and Margaret White and one son, Michael Smith.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas R. Smith of Leland, NC; Christopher W. Smith and wife Cate of Boulder, CO; Patrick Smith and wife Rose of Hartville, OH; and five grandchildren, Samantha, Charlotte, Mary, Oriana and Leo Smith.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, July 15, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery.
