Mac was born in Wenatchee, WA on 4 February 1932 to James Henry and Helen Victoria White McVicker. She was raised on the apple orchard at Cashmere, WA. Mac and Howbert Bonnett (Hob) met at the University of Idaho and were married in Moscow, Idaho on 14 April 1954.
Mac earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & History at the University of Idaho and a Masters of Library & Information Science at the University of Maryland. She spent most of her career in various library positions retiring in 1990 as Department of the Army's Computer and Networking Librarian.
After retiring, Hob & Mac moved to Fairfield Harbour, New Bern, NC. In retirement she assisted Hob in publishing a manual for using computer programs for boats and boaters. She volunteered on the Beacon, newsletter for Fairfield Harbor; AARP Tax Aid program and as a staff officer in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, New Bern Flotilla.
Mac is survived by one son, James Howbert Bonnett and his partner Beverly Lindemann, one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howbert William Bonnett, son William Dean Bonnett, sisters Helen Fillhart, Margaret McVicker, Laura McVicker and Harriet McVicker and nephew Eric Fillhart.
At her request no service will be held. Arrangements are by Cotten Funeral Home and Cremations, New Bern, NC.
