Louise dearly loved the Lord and her family. She also enjoyed faithfully serving her church. She loved to cook and was well known for her pecan pies. Louise loved to eat, especially country ham biscuits and a Logan's ribeye steak. When she was not serving others, you could find Louise in her garden, often on her Farmall tractor.
Louise had a very sweet nature, compassionate heart, and infectious smile. Although our loss is Heaven's gain, she will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Currin (Wayne); grandson, Daniel Currin; sister-in-laws, Sadie Sanders and Lena Sanders; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, William Durwood Pike; second husband, Henry Lee Gurganus; parents, Adell and Cassie Sanders; brothers, Warren Sanders, Horace Sanders, A.D. Sanders, Willard Sanders, Marland Sanders, and Elic Sanders; sisters, Estelle Parker, Inez Shepard, and Annie Marie Sanders.
A Visitation Service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Cove City FWB Church. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 PM. The burial will follow the service at White Cemetery.
Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to serve the family of Louise Gurganus.
