James Marvin Hutchinson, 90, of New Bern, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Friends and family knew him as "Hutch" and will remember him for his legendary golf prowess. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with his buddies. He played First Trumpet in the Air Force Concert Band for 20 years of his 30-year military career.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Brian Hutchinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Hutchinson; son, Richard A. Hutchinson (Lee); sister, Jo Lummer (Paul); brother, Daniel Hutchinson; granddaughter, Jennifer Kuzma (Bill); and great granddaughters, Joi and Harper.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel with Chaplain Angel Lorton officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory.
