Jack was the President of the North Carolina Firefighters Association in 2009. He was the past Chief and past President of West New Bern Fire Department. While Jack was part of the Fire Department, he was also an active member of the Cove City Masonic Lodge, Berne Masonic Lodge, Sudan Shriner, and a member of the Chef Crew. In his spare time you could find Jack watching baseball, he was a big supporter and fan of many baseball teams, and loved watching his sons play.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Ross Parker; sons, Jason Parker and Jackson Parker (Samantha); step-sons, Tyler Williams and Aaron Williams (Anna); sisters, Ida Parker Albright and Nancy Parker Payne (Alan); grandchildren, Chandler Parker, Flynn Williams, Lainey Mae Williams, and Elouise Williams; mother-in-law, Glennie Ross (Memom); and several loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jan Warren Parker; parents, Jack (Ed) and Clara Parker; and brother-in-law, Jim Albright.
The family will receive friends at Jack's home, 620 Ipock Lane, New Bern, NC on Wednesday, February the 2nd and Thursday, February the 3rd from 3:00-6:00 PM.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2022 at Temple Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jack's honor to West Craven High School Dugout Club or Beech Grove United Methodist Church.
