Floyd Ray Eubanks, 91, of New Bern, passed on July 3, 2016 at his home. Born in Lenoir County on February 25, 1925, Floyd was the son of the late Roscoe and Lilian Eubanks. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and then worked in civil service at Cherry Point.
The family will receive friends just prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by the service at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Louis Pender and the Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
He is survived by three children, Rosa Lee Foy (Alfredo), Billy Ray Eubanks (Diane), Judy White; and daughter-in-law, Patsy Eubanks; five stepchildren, Janice Metts (Henry), Connie Crawford (Jimmy), Brenda Bizzell, Glenda Brown (Brian), and Renee Jenkins (Kenny); as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Rosa Bell Eubanks and Edith Leary Eubanks; three sons, Frankie Ray Eubanks, Marvin Earl Eubanks, and Hardy Ray Eubanks; and two stepdaughters, Hilda Leary and Debra Jones.
