Some of you might fondly remember her from her cake business "Cakes by Jacques", working at Graham A. Barden Elementary School, or from New Bern High School as 'sweetie pie'. The three of us children remember her as a great mom who would not allow us to get away with much! Thanks mom, for keeping us out of trouble; even though we did not appreciate it at the time!
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, 12 October at Annunciation Catholic Church from 11:00-1:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall for a time of remembrance and celebrating Dolores' life.
Dolores Fones Jacques will be laid to rest at Greenleaf Memorial Park for a private graveside service at the same location as her loving husband of 67 years, Ret. SgtMaj Edward Jacques who proceeded her.
Cotten Funeral Home is handing burial services for the family. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be placed on their website at www.cottenfuneralhome.com for the Jacques family. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations in Dolores Fones Jacques name be made directly to Samaritans Purse for Helene assistance (samaritanspurse.org )
