Betty Gwynne was a warm, lovely, sweet, kind woman who is missed by all those who knew her.

Such an incredible lady!   She is leaving quite an impressive and loving legacy through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.     She spread love any time I ever saw her.  Always with that smile.     .....and lots of times with a bowl of the best chicken salad ever made!!!!!   So many memories of her and Mac in the choir.  Especially, when his Christmas tie started playing music during the church service.  There was a lot of chuckling that followed.   When I think of Betty Gwyn and Mac, the first thing I think of is the love they had for their family.   Then spared enough of that love to share with friends.  I am so blessed to know this Ipock family.   My sincere condolences to you all.   I pray you will find peace in the love you all share with each other.

I met Betty Gwen  in 2019 when I got a job at The New Bern Public Library.  She was very inspiring and talked me thru any issues I may have had. She would always tell me stories of her fascinating life.My prayers go out to the family for peace and comfort.

I first met Betty Gwyn when I started working at the New Bern Public Library as a page. When I worked with Betty Gwyn, I always felt a relaxing and calming effect from her. I will miss her sweet smile and kind soul.

Dear family, my deepest sympathy to each of you at this sad time.  Your mother was a very dear lady .                                                                  Betty and I worked at our local library for many years, In  fact until 2020 when Covid hit . A fond memory of those days  was her generosity sharing from her summer garden, bags of sweet corn, her butter bean corn covered dish and squash casserole for staff dinners,and the freshly picked peaches from the local orchard delivered by  Mac.  Betty was a woman  of strength and character with caring gentle ways.She loved learning and knowledge, sharing human interest stories,beautifully illustrated children books, love of music.                                                                                        
It has been  an honor  having her for a friend.I have fond memories of our times together.  Love you Betty.

I worked in the Craven County library with Betty Gwynn for several years; her sweetness  & kindness were such assets to all of us.  She always had a quiet, gentle way about her.  She will be greatly missed.

Aunt Betty was like my 2nd mother.  When I worked in tobacco for Uncle Mac, she and Mama Nettie would prepare lunch for us.  I was always made to feel like I was the 6th daughter.  Susan and I did many things together- work in fields, pick the gardens or figs, snap beans, piano, choir at Beech Grove, 4H club meetings, swimming lessons, Dawson's Creek..Aunt Betty and mom (Clara) were always feeding us girls and we seemed like one big family.  I will miss her but celebrate her life and hold near all the memories.


Miss Betty Gwen was a wonderful lady and a plier of the community. I am with regrets that I will not be going to the celebration of like as I will be out of town. I will keep the family in my prayers 

I first knew Miss Betty Gwyn when I visited the New Bern-Craven County Public Library.  In time, I also became her co-worker at the library.  She was a very sweet and kind person and never without a smile.  She will be missed!

Miss Betty Gwyn was like a mamma to me. Susan was my best friend and we spent a lot of time at each others houses. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love you all.

Ms Betty came into my life for a short time but what a lucky time it was.  Thank you Gwinn/Ipock family for allowing me to share a little bit of mama and Gran.
I am blessed to have known you all.
Please let the Lord keep you during you time of sorrow and let him help you rejoice in all the amazing wonderful happy memories.
