Lisa R. Pierce

Lisa was born on December 17, 1966, in Peoria, the daughter of Robert Wayne and Frona “Louise” Smith Lucassen. She married Ronald Pierce on July 3, 1994, at Franklin United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death.

She attended Waverly Elementary and graduated from McKinney High School in 1985. Lisa then went on to receive her bachelor’s in Economics from Illinois College in 1991. She worked a variety of careers, including, babysitting, paper delivery, secretary, route supervisor, terminal manager, business owner of Alpha & Omega Courier and Delivery, and she most recently worked for Hansen Professionals. Lisa was a faithful member of Palmyra Christian Church. She was proudly awarded the Athena Award in 2008 and the National Association of Women Business Owner of the year in 2009. Lisa received the Jean Larson Enthusiasm Award through the Pilot Club in 2024.

Lisa was also preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Dana (Debbie) Savage; and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her sons, William and Austin Pierce; and siblings, Bruce Lucassen, Marie Lucassen Duff, Mike Lucassen, and Nita Lucassen (Damon) Nelson.

Memorial Gathering and Memorial Ceremony: Family will receive friends on Saturday October 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 12:15 PM at Palmyra Christian Church, 100 N. Hickory St. in Palmyra, IL. Memorial Services to follow at 12:30 PM.

Inurnment will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
