Ronald John Santos

Born in New Bedford, he attended school in New Bedford and was a self-employed handyman for many years.

Ron was a free spirit and lived life to the fullest, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Ron enjoyed taking care of his plants and gardening. He loved going camping, fishing and riding motorcycles with his friends. The most important thing about Ron is that when he loved you he loved you with all he had, you never needed to hear the words come out of his mouth you could feel the love that he had for you. Ron had a love for his children and grandchildren that you could see on his face anytime he would talk about them. He will be greatly missed but the memories of him will be cherished by all.

Ronald is survived by his children, Jocelyn Machado and her husband Edward of Medford, Ashley Santos of New Bedford, Tara-Lea Katherman of PA and Tyler John Santos of Dartmouth; a sister, Katherine McCarthy of Stoughton; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dianna Arruda.

Ronald’s Memorial Service will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 11:30AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Monday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery. To leave a note of condolence: waring-sullivan.com
