Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Herve J. and Juliette LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc was a United Sates Army Veteran having served during the Korean War.
He had worked as an Electronic Technician for the Department of Defense until his retirement.
Ronald enjoyed traveling, photography, working on his cars and tinkering around his home. In earlier years, he enjoyed camping and square dancing. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially his grand kids.
Survivors include his children, Michelle Shadows and her husband Ronn of California, Michael R. LeBlanc and his wife Jeanne of Denver, Colorado and Melissa Klocker and her husband Michael of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Lorraine Neff of Florida; six grandchildren, Joseph and Juliette LeBlanc, Rhianna, Kara, Cailyn and Ryan Klocker; his longtime companion, Patricia Cyr; and three nieces, Robin, Julie and Jennifer.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 5, 2015 from 4-7 pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Special Olympics, Attn: Web Gifts, 1133 19th St. NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036.
