Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Peter S. Duff and the late Aurora (Cadorette) Duff.
Mr. Duff served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as a master plumber and was the owner operator of Duff Plumbing and Heating.
Mr. Duff loved to work. He played golf with the New Bedford Fire Department League, he was a long standing member of the Acushnet Lion’s Club, the Massachusetts Plumbers Association, was the former caretaker of the Butler Flats Lighthouse, loved his home in Bradford, NH. He was a member of the VFW and Moose in Florida.
Survivors include, a daughter Donna Azevedo and her husband Matthew of Cape Coral, FL, a son P Duff and his wife Tami Kaplan of Waltham, four step daughters: Deborah Hanks, Donna Freitas, Shaun Spicer, Cherylanne Thomas, seven granddaughters: Lori Alves and her husband Scott, Kristen Azevedo and her companion Lino Brescia, Ashley Eddleston, Danielle Hastings, Cassandra Freitas, Keren Duff, Madelyn Elizabeth Duff one grandson, Matthew Hanks and his wife Kelly, two great grandchildren, Atley Alves and Carmella Hanks and his favorite feline, Shadow.
He was predeceased by his 12 siblings, his step daughter Kim Spicer and his step granddaughter Aly Jor Machado.
His visitation will be held at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 4-8pm. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
