Patricia Ann Deschamps

Patricia Ann (Silveira) Deschamps, a beloved and cherished resident of Acushnet, passed away on November 19, 2024 in Tobey Hospital at the age of 88. Born on November 6, 1936, Patricia lived a full and meaningful life, surrounded by family and pursuing her passions.

She was the loving wife of Roger D. Deschamps. Patricia was a devoted mother to her children, Roger Deschamps and his wife JoAnn, Bryan Deschamps and his wife Patricia, Dennis Deschamps and his wife Susan, Michelle Sutcliffe and her husband Robert, all of Acushnet, and Danielle Kirkwood and her husband Liston of Fairhaven. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren: Heather, Heidi, Chad, Derek, Jelisa, Ryan, and David, as well as her great-grandson Jude. Patricia is also survived by her three siblings.

An avid crafter, Patricia had a passion for many crafts throughout her life including ceramics, crochet, knitting and sewing. Most notably Patricia enjoyed making and gifting handmade quilts for Birthdays and holidays. She was often known to gift quilts even as a gesture of thanks and recently completed three quilts that will be donated to a local nursing home that had become a yearly tradition for her. She loved spending time gardening and tending to her flowers and was meticulous about her lawn upkeep that she insisted on doing herself. Patricia was always up for an adventure and joined her husband on many trips to New Hampshire and Canada.

Patricia's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.
