Born in New Bedford, he was a son of Thomas and Katherine (Sabatowski) Rayner of Fairhaven. He was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, class of 1995.
Nathan had worked as a chef in local restaurants.
He enjoyed golfing, karate and reading Stephen King books.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his children, Samantha A. Rayner and Alexander S. Rayner; a brother, Matthew T. Rayner and wife Elizabeth; two nephews, Brian M. Rayner and Andrew J. Rayner; aunts and uncles, Linda and Charles Comfort and Lois and Gregory MacIsaac.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 4-7pm with a Celebration of Life at 6:30pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 02701.
