

Born on May 2, 1931, in New Bedford, Nancy was a long-time resident of Acushnet, Massachusetts.
She was the daughter of the late Jose V. and Maria V. (Gouveia) Coelho and a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Nancy dedicated many years of her life working as a dietician at The Oak's, where she served for 15 years. A proud and simple woman, family was her main priority, and she always put the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed the Home Shopping Network, visiting casinos, watching old western and horror movies on television, and the Olympics, especially figure skating. Her gentle smile will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Robert Hillman and his wife Irene of Acushnet, and Patricia Hillman-Sylvia and her husband Lance of Acushnet; her grandchildren, Crystal Benoit of Fairhaven, Tracy Hillman of Acushnet, Aaron Sylvia of Acushnet, and Cianna Sylvia of Acushnet; her sisters, Beatrice Vieira of Acushnet, and Alice Haskins of New Bedford, and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was also the grandmother of the late Brennan Michael Sylvia and sister-in-law of the late Donald Vieira.
Visitation will be held at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA, on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in Acushnet Cemetery, 91 Main St., Acushnet.
