Mary Ann Pina

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Antone Rufino and the late Victoria Lopes, she was a lifelong New Bedford resident and a graduate of New Bedford High School.

Mrs. Pina was a Cashier for the former Fernandes Supermarket for several years. She also worked in the New Bedford School Department, the New Bedford Boys Club and the former Cornell Dubilier in New Bedford. She was an avid reader, loved to dance and do cross word puzzles.

Mrs. Pina is survived by her two sons Dennis W. Pina and his wife Darlene of New Bedford and Steven Pina and his wife Diana of FT. Myers, FL; a sister Linda Pardee of California; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Cheryl Pina-Correia and sister of the late Antone Rufino Monteiro, Madeline Vieira, Manuel Rufino and Dolores Jackimocz.
