Marie "Yvonne" L Dupuis

Yvonne L. “Mèmére” (Croteau) Dupuis of New Bedford, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Sunday, May 1, 2016, at The Oaks, New Bedford. She was the loving wife of George R. Dupuis for 64 years.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Eugenie (Desorcy) Croteau. She lived in New Bedford her entire life and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Her family would like to thank the staff of the Oaks of New Bedford and Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Yvonne.

In addition to her husband, George, survivors include eight children, Richard (Tammy) of Peoria, AZ, Diane Dallaire (Richard) of Saugus, MA, Susan Ellis (Stephen) of Acushnet, MA, Rita Hall (George) of New Bedford, Mark Dupuis (Donna) of Acushnet, MA, Joanne Harrison (Steve) of Fall River, MA, Michael Dupuis (Kristin) and Lisa Belanger (Marc) of New Bedford. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Teixeira of Mattapoisett. She was the proud Mèmére of 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 9 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a funeral mass at 10 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford.
