Lisa A. Rodrigues

Lisa A. (Brun) Rodrigues (Vaudry), age 56, of New Bedford, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the significant other of Joseph Gouveia.

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Normand R. and Claire (Vigeant) Brun, she lived in Acushnet for several years but most of her life was spent in New Bedford. She was a graduate of Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, class of 1984.

Lisa had worked as a school bus driver for Amaral Bus Co. for 25 years, a job she truly loved.

She enjoyed trips to the casinos, arts and crafts, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and attending football games and concerts. Lisa had an infectious personality and warm and caring nature who always helped someone in need. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a big part of her school bus children’s lives. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Vaudry, Jr. and his wife Angela of Assonet and Amber Lynn Vaudry of New Bedford; three grandchildren, Kayleigh L. Botelho, Travis J. Vaudry and Austin D. Vaudry; a sister, Madeleine Avila and her husband Kenneth of Westport; two brothers, Normand Brun of Acushnet and her twin brother Bruce Brun of NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo Brun.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial is private.
