Judith Ann (Hipolito) Lenling, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in her residence after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Lawrence Lenling to whom she had been happily married for 56 years.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Ward) Hipolito, she was a lifelong New Bedford resident. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and worked serving the public her entire life, retiring in 2008. Judy loved her family dearly, she enjoyed fun nights at the casino, days filled with her loving great-grandchildren, hosting family holidays, spending days in the garden with her husband, and always lead an exciting lifestyle. Judy was a very superstitious woman and she collected masks from all over the world. Judy was one of the strongest women we knew overcoming any obstacles in life’s path.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by one daughter, Tracy Ann Lenling of New Bedford; two sons, Todd W. Lenling and his companion Linda Fairclough of New Bedford and Timothy B. Lenling and his wife Lori of Fairhaven; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the Troy J. “Moony" Lenling and sister of the late Joseph Hipolito and Mary Coleen Medeiros.
Her visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial is private.
