Gerald R. Rock, Sr.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph and Rosalma (Tetreault) Rock, he was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mr. Rock had a successful career as a talented carpenter. He also drove bus for Tremblay Bus Company.

Gerry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his son, Gerald “Gerry” R. Rock, Jr. and his girlfriend Michelle of New Bedford; his sisters, Simone Plante of Acushnet, Genny Linhares of Acushnet, Florence Dugal of Fairhaven, Yvonne Silvia of Acushnet and Theresa Goyette of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Madison, Ethan and Owen; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alfred, Danny, Arthur and Raymond Rock and his sister Rita Picard.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
