Eugene Joseph Cusson

Eugene J. “Gene” Cusson, 96 of Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at his residence with his family at his side. He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Helene I. (Gratton) Cusson.

Born in Drummondville, Quebec, a son of the late Edmond and Marie (Tetreault) Cusson; Gene was a United States Air Force veteran, serving during WWII, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He later went on to work more than 40 plus years as a stonemason for his brother and later for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections at Bridgewater.

Gene loved his family dearly, but the love of his life was his wife Helene. He was a strong and proud man and a extremely hard worker. He enjoyed gardening, traveling with Helene and was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor.

He is survived by his children, Linda Nunes and her husband Stephen of Acushnet, Cynthia Gagne of New Bedford, Susan Jordan and her husband Anthony of WI, Anne Demopoulos and her husband Demetrios of New Bedford, Sandra Musitano and her husband Raymond of Warwick and James Cusson and his companion Janice Camara of Westport; a brother Edward Maurice Cusson of Winchester; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edmond, Arsene, Paul, Leo and Raymond.
