Elaine D. Fournier

Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late George R. and Doris R. (Benoit) Silva, she was a lifelong resident of the Southcoast area.

Elaine had a network of very dear friends and cherished their friendship through the years. Her happiest times were spent while playing cards with her late sister-in-law Margie, scrabble with her late sister-in-law Doris, and visiting with her beloved Cousin Pauline, Aunt Jeanette and the ladies from the Presidential Heights in Acushnet, MA. She was a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven, a member of the Acushnet Seniors, enjoyed traveling, walking, being outdoors and watching her favorite show Blue Bloods. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she adored.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne Dalbec and husband Thomas of Deering, NH, Michelle Tweedell and husband Eric of Standish, ME, Gregory Fournier of Fairhaven and Nicole Fournier of Fairhaven; a brother, Roger Silva of Evansville, IN; six grandchildren, Shannon, Nathan, Karen, Noel, Matthew and Amelia; and many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10AM in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 440 Main St., Fairhaven. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Acushnet Council on Aging, 59 S. Main St., Acushnet, MA 02743.
