Diane S. Silva

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Levi and Mitzi Bennett, she had resided in Dartmouth for most of her life. She was a graduate of Dartmouth High School.

Mrs. Silva had worked for Stride Rite and Harvey Windows. She enjoyed traveling, music, cooking, shopping and spending time outdoors in the sunshine. She will always be known for her beautiful smile.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Costa of Freetown, John Silva III and Dwayne M. Silva of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Jamie, Kyland, Cameron, John, Makenna, Shaila and Dwayne II (DJ); her sisters, Michelle, Lee, Sandra and Leslie; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Toby Silva and sister of the late Levi and Leo.

Her visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 4-6pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Prayer Service at 6:30pm in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, 400 Cross Rd., Dartmouth.
