Born in Omaha, Nebraska, a son of the late Donald and Lorraine (Richard) Miner, he had resided in the New Bedford area for most of his life. He had attended the special needs program at New Bedford High School.
David was an active participant of the Nemasket Group and Active Day programs and worked in several different capacities. He was a New England sports fan, loved bowling and painting and brought happiness and joy to all who knew him.
Survivors include his siblings, Alan Miner and his wife Kathleen of Rochester, Donna Kuhns and her husband Clifford of Winchendon and Lisa Miner-Porche and her husband Arthur of New Bedford; his nephews and nieces, Frank Oliveira, Jr., Kristen Hathaway and her husband Robert, Alan Miner, Jr. and his wife Michaela, Jessica Symonds and her husband Matthew and Christopher Langlais. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Lemos.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 4-7pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Fairhaven. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
