Arthur M. Souza

Born in Dartmouth, the son of the late Manuel and Maria (Moniz) Souza, he resided in Fairhaven most of his life. Arthur retired as a welder and last worked at the Fairhaven boat yard. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.

Survivors include his 3 step-children, Robert C. Andrade and his wife Denise of Port St. Lucie, FL; Steven Andrade and his wife Cindy of New Bedford; Diane M. Andrade Pecoraro and her husband Gary of Warner Robins, GA; a sister, Irene Correia of New Bedford; 7grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 9am at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St Joseph Church, 74 Spring Street, Fairhaven, MA. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 5-8pm. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or donate by phone @ 800-805-5856.
