Yvonne C. Harvey

Yvonne C. Harvey, age 80, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on June 23, 1943 to the late George Harris Jr. and Juanita Kinnaird Harris. She began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse from St. Joseph Infirmary in Louisville and went on to receive an associate’s degree from Los Angeles City College. Later in her career, she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville, ultimately retiring as an administrator with the United States Census Bureau after 23 years of service. A devout Catholic, she raised her children in the faith at Christ The King Louisville. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Joe M. Crowe; sisters, Shirley A. White and Rita D. Deloney; a brother, George J. Harris as well as a nephew, Darryl White. Yvonne is survived by two daughters, Kenya Solomon (Kenny) and Fadrah Crowe; a grandson, Elijah Sanders; two brothers, Dale A. Harris and Patrick D. Harris; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 2-8 pm on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:30 on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
