Shirley Ann Watson McCoy, 75, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was born February 8, 1940 in Alton, Indiana to the late Marion and Naomi Ridge Watson. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Ina Rae Reader and Carol Fay Walton Atz. She was a graduate of New Albany High School 1957 and St. Joseph School of Nursing, a retired RN having worked as a nurse supervisor for over 50 years, a volunteer for several community services, a squirrel whisperer and feeder, and a faithful and dedicated member of Park Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin Scott McCoy and Keith Steven McCoy and his wife, Pam; sisters, Iris Meier and her husband, Louie and Joyce Dehn and her husband, Jerry; brother, David Watson and his wife, Margaret; grandchildren, Kristen Ashley and Andrew David Moore and Summer Allyson, Jasmine Brooke, Andrea Rose, and Matthew Jordan McCoy; great granddaughters, Sephira Eden Earley and Kylie Ray Lewellen; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday and after 9:00 am Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to: Park Memorial United Methodist Church.
