Ruth M. Ernst

Ruth M. Ernst, 90, of New Albany, passed away October 21, 2019 at Faiths Mini Home. She was born on December 8, 1928 in Oaktown, Indiana to the late Raymond D. and Geneva B. Smith. She was the owner of Ruth's Studio for over 35 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl W. Smith and a sister, Alice Bowdenstad. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, John R. Ernst and a son, Robert D. Ernst. A service to celebrate her life will be conducted Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 am at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
