Robert "Bob" Philip Kaufer

Robert “Bob” Philip Kaufer, 78 years of age died Monday May 17, 2021 with his family by his side. Bob was a carpenter and member of the local Carpenter’s Union.. He was born on December 1, 1942 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Albert M. and Louise A. (Rudolph) Kaufer. Bob was an avid fisherman, and was especially proud of the 95 pound catfish he once landed. Above all else Bob cherished his Catholic faith and his family He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon, Indiana. Survivors include, his wife of 56 years and love of his life, Darlene (Lewter) Kaufer; three children, Susan Lyn Kaufer; David Lee Kaufer (Shannon) and Brent Alan Kaufer; one granddaughter, Corina Marie Dei Maggi; seven siblings, Mary Lou Robinson, Betty Schotter, Grace Dunn(Danny), Patty Messenger (Bill), Michael Kaufer(Lori), Margaret Schellenberger (Jerry), and Tommy Kaufer (Diana) and many nieces and nephews. Reception 9:30 am until 11:00 am Thursday, May 20, 2021 with Funeral Liturgy 11:00am Thursday May 20, 2021 both at St Joseph Catholic Church 312 East High Street in Corydon, IN. Burial 1:00 pm Thursday May 20, 2021 at Holy Trinity Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
