Norma June Whitaker

Norma was born June 24th, 1926 in Corbin, KY

Norma was preceded in death by: Her husband of 49 years, Joseph Whitaker, her parents Chester Arthur Boggs and Gladys (Kelly) Boggs of Corbin, KY, and her brother-in-law and sister Paul and Georgia Boggs Gibbs of Corbin, KY.

Norma is survived by: her loving daughter Kathy Jo Whitaker Stein of New Albany, her brother-in-law Don Whitaker of Monticello, KY, her sister-in-law Anna Ray Combs of Mousie, KY, two nieces Lori Gibbs and Paula Gibbs of Corbin, KY, and one nephew Eric Gibbs and his wife Mickie along with their children Bailee and Barrett of Corbin, KY, and her aunt Betty Boggs Braden of Louisville, KY and her daughters Terri, Tabby and Donna and their families.

She is also survived by special friends Mary Catherine Stein Bir, Matthew Bir , Kyle Bir and their families, also surviving is a host of other family and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff and special friends of Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 6:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with private burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
