Nettie R. Benson

Nettie R. Benson, 90, of Georgetown, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Nettie was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi on September 14, 1932, to the late Archie Guy Mink and Minnie Belle Michael Mink. She was retired from the U.S. Census Bureau and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Benson; a daughter, Melody Benson; a grandson, Bobby Stepro; and companion of five years, Ralph Leathers. Nettie is survived by three daughters, Sherry Coddington, Connie King (Dean) and Teresa Byers; grandchildren, Sasha Pearce, Michael Coddington II, Valerie Hinkle, Daniel Martin, Bryan Benson and Kristy Receveur; 19 great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Peterson. Visitation for Nettie will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 12:00 PM, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with private entombment will be at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
