Mary Ellen (Didelot) Koopman

Mary Ellen (Didelot) Koopman, 82 years of age died Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was born on July 25, 1938 to the late Frank and Emma (Bezy) Didelot and was married for 60 years to Charlie Koopman. Mary was a 1956 graduate of Providence High School and was a bookkeeper for the old Day Lumber Company, Lorch and Naville Law Office, and Fifer Law Office. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charlie Koopman; son Dennis Koopman (Dina); grandchildren, Rushton Koopman, Anabeth Koopman; sister Dorothy Kruer (Merle); brother Bobby Didelot (Judy); sister-in-law Mary Imogene Didelot; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150 and 9:00 am to 11:00 am Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, 5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47150. Her Funeral Mass will 11:00 am Monday at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family requests expression of sympathy the Alzheimer's Association.
