Mary Jo (Regot) Smith

Mary Jo Smith, 87, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022. The daughter of the late Gary and Catherine Seiler Regot, Mary Jo was born September 26, 1934 in New Albany. She was a member of Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Women, Friendship Homemaker’s Club, the New Albany Officers Wives Auxiliary, and she volunteered at Centenary United Methodist’s Food Pantry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Smith; daughter, Kathy Farnsley; son, Mark Smith; and a sister, Nancy Rupp.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Katy Smith, Chase Smith, Jessica Farnsley, Elizabeth Poole, and Mary Jo House; sister, Linda Banet; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3 pm ~ 7 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 12 pm Friday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary Jo’s memory may be made to the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund.
