Mark S. Owens

Mark S. Owens, 67 years of age died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany. He was born March 31, 1952 to the late Morton and Martha (Cadle) Owens. Mark was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired member of the Indiana National Guard, where he served for 34 years, including two tours of duty overseas. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Lifetime Member of Floyd County Post #3281 where he served on the Honors Unit for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Philip and Jeffrey Owens. Mark will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include wife of 46 years Sherry L. (Sarles) Owens; three children, Adam Owens (Kerrie), Lori Owens, and Bradley Owens (Kelsey); two grandchildren, Skyler and Addyson.

Memorial Reception will be 2:00 pm ~ 4:00 pm Thursday, August 29, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with Full Military Honors. Private entombment will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
