Margaret A. "Maggie" Kochert, 63, died Monday June 15, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd. Margaret was born March 27th, 1957 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Joseph H. and Leona (Fessel) Kochert and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New Albany. Margaret was a graduate of Providence High School and Marian College. She was a Case Manager for some 44 years with the Department of Child Services in New Albany.
Survivors include her best friend of 46 years Dianah Oehmann; four siblings; Jane Timberlake (Doug), Ronald Kochert (Marti), Larry Kochert (Barbara), and Steve Kochert (June); nieces and nephews, (Debbie,Bruce) (Angie,Timi) (Jody,Sarah), (Inara,Nalani), (Rose, Charles),(Stella, Lila); (Bryan, Laura), (Emma), (Beth Kochert), (Ronnie Jo, Jamie), (Kim) ,(Miles, Nora), (Christina Brennan ), (Angie, Casey), (Marshall, Logan, Isabelle), (Stephanie), (Alexandra, Noah), (Christie, Natalie), (Katie, Andy) and (Jackson, Henry).
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday June 18, 2020, and after 10:00 am Friday June 19, 2020 at Kraft Funeral Service 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 1:00 pm Friday June 19, 2020, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Expressions of Sympathy are suggested to The Dream Factory for children.
