Marcella Taylor

Marcella Taylor, 78 years of age died Sunday November 5, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd. She was born July 3, 1939 in London, Kentucky to the late James F. and Lillie B. (Nicholson) Cornett and was the widow of Alex Taylor Jr. Marcella was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma and homemaker. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Chesney Marzetti, Wilma Proffitt, Thelma Cornett, and Harold Cornett.

Survivors include her children, Katie Kirchner (Kerry), Kimberly Sonne (Tom), Karen Wells, Tammy Davis (Dennis), Joe Taylor, Jon Taylor (Elaine), Sonya Payton, Marcie Meador, Shane Taylor; 19 grandchildren, Heather, Kirk, Katie Rose, T.J., Chrissy, Layla, Jaclyn, Andrew, Jake, Courtney, Darrell, Brandon, Joseph, Derek, Cheyanne, Collin, Nolan, Alex, Austin; 7 great grandchildren, Braxton, Knox, Emma, Caroline, Liam, Evelyn, Elijah; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved pet Keisha. The family would like to express their gratitude to a close family friend, Curtis Zoeller, for all his support and help.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday and from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday in the Kraft Spring St. Chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
