Lowell E. Young

Lowell E. Young, received eternal life on Monday, September 16, 2019. He was born on July 30, 1924 in Salem, Indiana to Robert and Norma Davis Young who preceded him in death. He was a machinist for many years for the old Martin Sweets Company until he left in 1973 to join his son in the business they established, Young Machine Co., Inc. He was a member of Christ's Community Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Boling. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Kay Nelson Young; sons, Larry (Sandy) Young and Robert (Becky) Young both of New Albany; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Stephanie) Young, Megan McMillin and Matthew Young; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Young, Jacob Young, Caroline McMillin and Elise McMillin. His funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
