Lisa Kenyata Douglas

Lisa Kenyata Douglas, 41, of New Albany, Indiana passed peacefully from this life the morning of Tuesday, February 1, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Lisa was born April 10, 1980 in New Albany, Indiana to James B. Douglas and Kum Suk Douglas.

She was a graduate of New Albany Senior High School, and went on to attend Vincennes University. Lisa was a longtime healthcare hero, who spent countless hours helping others and had a knack for making her patients feel special. Lisa had a passionate love for football and was an avid Tom Brady fan.

Lisa is preceded in death by her mother/aunt, Cyrila Douglas; brother, Deron Douglas; and step-sister, Tamla Malone.

She leaves her memories to be cherished by three daughters, Micaiah Douglas, Kiara Casey and Zaria Douglas; her father, J. B. (Carol) Douglas; seven siblings, Chaka (Gino) Rowen, Jason Douglas, Janice Douglas, Jayme (Marcus) Conley, Luna (Christian) Morelos, Paris Douglas and Lance Douglas; step-siblings, Lora (Gary) Dixon and Gezell Bartlett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for Lisa will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
