Joyce R. Doyle

Joyce Rae Doyle, 86, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away peacefully in her home on June 17, 2022. She was in the company of those she loved dearly. Joyce was born on May 22, 1936 in Harrison County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Edgar “Jiggs” and Mary C. Wolfe. Joyce will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the heart of her family and was loved so dearly by everyone who knew her. She was an Avon representative for over 33 years and was recognized as a member of the President’s Club on multiple occasions. For decades, she attended monthly birthday luncheons with dear friends and loved ones. In her early years, Joyce loved to entertain and was a gracious hostess. In her later years, she was very proud of her pristine yard and loved to spend hours outside getting her hands dirty and enjoying the fruits of her labor. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by two of her daughters, Debra Kennedy and Rhonda Gary, her sister, Corliss Link, and her brother, Lloyd Wolfe. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Charles Michael Doyle; two of her four siblings; Betty Sue Hubbach and Michael Wolfe; three of her five children, Pamela Rogers (John) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Angela Lewis (Roland) of Louisville, Kentucky, and Kenneth Kruer (Cathy) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; four stepsons, Chuck, Tony, Jason, Bobby; six grandchildren, Christy, Rene, Lindsey, Jackie, Elizabeth, Jennifer; thirteen great-grandchildren, Ivy, Holly, Rose, Lily, Kaden, Trevor, Carson, Jaren, Olivia, Madeline, Austin, Miles, Ozzie; and one great-great grandchild, Heidi. In July of last year, Joyce was proud to be pictured with her great-great granddaughter for a photo of five generations. She is also survived by her cousin and lifelong friend, Marlene Isaac. Thank you to the nurses and caregivers from Hospice who allowed her to live out her final days at home. A special thanks to her niece, Janene, for being such a loving caregiver and confidant for many years. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20 and 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 following visitation at the funeral home. Burial to follow.
