Joanne Sciara Moore

Funeral services for Joanne Sciara Moore, 52, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 14, 2012.

She was a native of Long Island, N.Y., and lived the past five years in New Albany, and was a member of Southeast Christian Church.

In Joanne’s words, she was the wife of her hero, Steven Moore. She was a stay-at-home mom of two awesome kids and was passionate about bringing them up in a Godly home and walked out in her faith before them daily and had the joy and peace within her knowing that both of them had given their hearts to our Lord. Her favorite Bible verse that she lived out daily was. “Preach the gospel always...and when necessary use words.”

Survivors include her husband, Steven Moore; son, Cody Moore; daughter, Chelsea Moore; mother, Maria Callaci Sciara; and brothers, Frank Sciara and his wife Gail, and Charles Sciara and his wife Laura.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Sciara.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
