Helen A. Ball

Helen A. Ball, 99 years of age, died peacefully Thursday at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 16, 1924 in New Albany, IN. She retired from Bowman/Dean Dairy in 1987 after 40 years of service. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany, IN and a member of the Altar Society. She enjoyed reading, babysitting, camping & IU basketball. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Chester & Gertrude (Day) Ball, her sister, June Blunk, brother-in-law, James Lee, infant nephew, Michael Blunk & nephew-in-laws, Tom Reister & Roy Petty. Helen was survived by her sister, Agnes Lee, nephews, Rick Lee (Jana) & Joe Blunk (Kathy) and nieces, Janis Kirk (John Andres), Mary Lynn Petty, Laura Goad (Aaron), Trudy Reister, 16 great nieces & nephews, 23 great, great nieces & nephews, 1 great great great niece and long time second family, Michael & Diane Hall & family. A visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A visitation will occur Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 415 E 8th Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Helen will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.
