Grace Elizabeth (Hall) Mayfield, 79, Died Sunday, May 15, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at her home in Lanesville, Indiana. She was born December 17, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William Roy and Rena Thelda Ford Hall. Grace was a homemaker and member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lanesville. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 year, William E. "Bill" Mayfield and siblings: Barbara Wills, Mary Farmer, Bill, Alfred, Paul, John, and Danny Hall. Grace will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, George "Danny" Mayfield (Becky), William "Billy" Mayfield (Teri), Rena Mayfield Phillips (Jeff), Dennis Mayfield (Sondra), Terry Mayfield (Angie), Janet Mayfield Philpot (Jerry), Martha "Marty" Mayfield McRae (David), Thelda Mayfield Smith (Allan); 24 grandchildren, 27 greatgrandchildren; siblings, Regina Kercheval, Sudie Foman, Marvin Hall (Shirley); brother-in-law, George Mayfield (Evelyn); sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hall, Pauline Chaffin, Debbie Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday May 18, 2016 and 11:00 am until 8:00 pm Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Friday May 20, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2500 St. Mary's Drive, Lanesville, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rosary Service 7:00pm Thursday evening at Kraft's Spring St. Chapel.
Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Mass on the Air of Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
