Elsie M. Hack Meyers

ELSIE M. (HACK) MEYERS, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Friday, September 21, 2012. The daughter of the late John and Daisy Hack, Elsie was born in South, Kentucky and grew up in Leitchfield, Kentucky. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Stewart, Nellie Willis and Virginia Willis; and brothers, John Hack, Jr. and Louis “Bussy” Hack. Besides being a homemaker, she worked as a school secretary, bank teller and retired from the Census Bureau. Elsie was also very passionate about playing the piano. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville. Survivors include: Husband of 59 years: Leonard C. Meyers Sons: David D. Meyers (Sheila) Henryville, IN Phillip L. Meyers (Mary Ann) Shelbyville, IN Grandson: Harrison Meyers Plainfield, IN Sisters: Edna Emmerling (Bill) Shirley Yankowy (Val) Visitation will be from 5:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Tuesday and after 10:00 am Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
