Elizabeth "Ann" Castleman

Elizabeth "Ann" Castleman, age 78, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Ann was born on March 16th, 1946 to the late Charles and Viola (Lumpkin) Paris. She attended St. Augustine, St. Anthony's and Providence High School. She was married to the late James Castleman Sr.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ann is preceded in death by a brother; Kenneth Paris and brother-in-law, Patrick Banet.

Ann leaves behind her two sons, Daniel Castleman (Tammy) and James Castleman Jr. (Marty O'Leary); three grandchildren, Danielle Bales (Jacob), Luke Castleman (Taylor) and Josh Castleman; and one great granddaughter, Ellington Jane Bales; siblings, Larry Paris (Mimi), David Paris (Bobbi), Nancy Banet, Jimmy Paris (Carole); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann was a faithful member of Southeast Christian Church where she was very involved in the sewing and doll ministries, which aided in distributing dolls to orphans around the world. One of her favorite things to do at church was to rock the little babies in the nursery. She was very involved in the Community Bible Study (CBS) where she also enjoyed rocking the babies. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother and Auntie Ann. She also enjoyed attending sports, school and musical activities for her grandchildren. She was so very proud of all of their accomplishments.

Ann worked for over 25 years in the banking industry starting with Citizens Bank and ending at Chase Bank.

The family would like to thank all of the caregivers that loved and served Ann.

In lieu of flowers, in Ann's memory, donations are suggested to Southeast Christian Church (In care of the Sewing and Doll Ministries).

A visitation for Ann will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Ann will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park following services.
