Dolores Bittner

Dolores Bittner, 77, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on October 18, 2023. She was one of 4 children born June 23, 1946, in Monessen, Pennsylvania, to Louis and Mary (Bryzcka) Widziszewski. Dolores was a loving mother and grandmother, known to her grandchildren as “Bubbie.” Dolores loved cooking and baking, often creating her own recipes and sharing them with friends. Dolores also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading a good book.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her three siblings, Edward Widziszewski, Florence Uziel, and Stanley Widziszewski.

She is survived by her former husband, Robert “Jack” Bittner, and her three children, Dawn Bittner, Aniesa Bittner-Wiseman (Jason), and Robert Jack Bittner Jr. “JR” also her four grandchildren, Allison Wiseman, Tyler Wiseman, Emily Wiseman, Ava Wiseman. They were the lights of her life.

The family would like to thank Dr. Anna Fisher and the staff at Renaissance Family Medicine (her second home for 29 years) for their continued friendship and care. They also thank the nurses and caregivers in the PCU and ICU at Baptist Floyd Health for caring for Dolores with dignity and grace in her final hours.

A visitation for Dolores will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
