David G. Duffy

David G. Duffy, 76, passed away Monday, January 04, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was born July 2, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana to the late George W. Duffy Jr. and Martha G. Wimp Duffy. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Judith A. Duffy and sister, Suzanne Willis. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War was a former member of the Cathedral of the Assumption Choir, an Oblate of St. Meinrad Archabbey, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and enjoyed Monday Night Poker..

He is survived by his daughters, Cecilia A. “Cece” Hughes and her husband, Thomas, Mary C. “Carrie” Nigg and her husband, Terry, and Martha K. “Katie” Duffy and her fiancé, Bill Spond; grandchildren, Cindy, Joshua, and Justin Hughes and Ryan and his wife, Lacy, Bridget, and Bailee Nigg; and great grandchildren, Abby and Austin Nigg.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. A rosary service will be held at 3:00 Thursday at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1840 East Eighth St., Jeffersonville, Indiana with entombment with military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
