Charles Edwin Kaufer Jr., age 67, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. Chuck was born in New Albany, Indiana on May 14, 1957 to the late Charles Edwin Kaufer Sr. and Mary Barksdale Kaufer. After graduating from New Albany High School, he became a production technician with Fire King International with over 44 years of service. Chuck was a member of the Teamsters Union 89. He felt most at peace in nature and loved to share it with his family. He loved hunting, fishing, and taxidermy. With his strong faith in God, Chuck was very kind to everyone he met and was always there to lend a helping hand.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Mark Baker; two sisters, Linda Kaufer and Joyce Logsdon.
Chuck is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Diana Deutsch Kaufer; children, Chris Napper, Dorothy Sprayberry (Davy), Nicole Mendiola (Gabriel) and Chuck Kaufer; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Chuck will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Monday, December 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
