Barry Stephen "Stu" Ross

Barry Stephen "Stu" Ross, age 69, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Barry was born April 18, 1953 in Jeffersonville, IN to the late Lester and Lorene Ross. He was a 1971 graduate of Clarksville High School and was an Army Veteran serving his country in the Vietnam War. Barry was a retired officer from the Clarksville Police Department, where he received police officer of the year 2 times. He was very involved in several programs while working as a police officer which included the McGruff Safe Kids Program, Buckle Up for Safety, and D.A.R.E America. Barry was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #144. Along with his parents Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Ross.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Anne Ross, sons, Tommy Kennady, and Michael Ross (Brittany), grandchildren, Eliot and Molly Ross, brother, David Ross (Charlene "Sis") along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation for Barry will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Indiana. A funeral mass will occur Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 316 N. Sherwood Ave., Clarksville, Indiana with Friar John Bamman presiding.

Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Providence High School, the Veterans Administration or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
